Instagram account reactivation: a step by step guide to get it done in 3 hrs
Social media as you know is one place where you can show your business to the world, make it popular, and generate leads. Truth be told, most Top businesses today with the help of social media got to where they are. When you hear social media some top platforms comes to mind, platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Snapchat, Whatsap and many others.
Most businesses who have utilized this medium are referred to as top firms, serving as a resource where people get quality information, product tools and services. A common way to know top business firms is by checking for a verified badge, this is a verification step taken by the creators of these platforms and you must have come across Blue Ticks on top business social media accounts.
Prior to this post, it’s been frequently heard that one of the popular social media platform “Instagram” has been deactivating accounts due to some reasons (which I will specify below) and requesting verification for reactivation.
If you have a similar problem, tighten up your seat belt and worry no more because I got the solution right here in this post.
Firstly you will get a message saying “Your account has been disabled for violating our terms. Learn how you may be able to restore your account”. It obvious you will not know which term you must have violated especially when you know you haven’t violated any; these are the steps you should take.
Instagram Account Reactivation
Step one (1):
Click on “Learn More” and you will be redirected to another message which says;
“Your account has been disabled for not following our terms. You won’t be able to log into this account and no one else will be able to see it. If you think this was a mistake, please let us know”.
Step two (2):
Click on “Please let us know”. You will be redirected to another page with the following;
“If you believe your account was deactivated by mistake, please provide the following information so we can investigate. Please only submit this form if your account was deactivated for not following Instagram’s Community Guidelines and you believe this was a mistake. If you can’t access your account for a different reason, please return to the Help Center to find the appropriate place to report your issue”.
Is this account used to represent a business product or service?
Step three (3):
I advice you click “Yes” mainly because I think this process is only done to business account but if you are totally sure your Instagram account is not a business account you could click “No”
After choosing an option you will be redirected and asked to fill in some of your details which are;
- Full Name
- Instagram username
- Email address
- Your present country
Step four (4):
Fill in the required information accordingly and correctly, an important thing to note is that any credentials/details you fill in should match the verification document you will be submitting at step 5 of this reactivation process. Those to review your account will look at these facts closely, try as much as possible to give non-contradicting information.
Step five (5):
Instagram will also request that you verify your account with the following business documents.
- Local business license
- Tax filing
- Certificate of formation
- Articles of incorporation
- Utility bill
- Proof of domain name registration
- Order fulfillment document
I will advice you not to add any documents yet, you should check the box below the list of documents and above the send button. After checking the checkbox immediately click on send, and error message will signal you that you must submit a document and then you can now add the document and send.
Step six (6):
At this point in time you must have gotten an Email from Instagram saying;
“We won’t be able to help you until we receive a proof that you’re the owner of this account. Without verification that you’re the owner, we can’t be sure that we’re helping the right person”.
If you haven’t received an Email yet then you have to wait a little more, cause there might be some technical issue.
When you get this kind of Email above, you have to send a reply with the same documents you sent in step 5
Step seven (7):
Instagram may Email you again depending on the kind of document you sent;
- If the document you sent are contradicting
- If you sent the wrong type of document needed
- If the document submitted is fake
- If the document size and quality are faulty
- If the document is not having your name and username in it
Below is the kind of document I submitted
So you have to quickly follow any instruction that they gave in the Email you received in this seventh (7th) step, but if you don’t get an Email after the sixth (6th) step it means they have accepted your documents and your account is under review.
If you follow the above steps correctly, you are assured of not having any problem and will get a final Email from Instagram saying;
Your Instagram account has been reactivated, and you should be able to access it now. We are sorry for the inconvenience. If you have any further questions, please visit the Instagram Help Center.
